The Creative Chateau | Motherhood Session

Kristen and Monroe took time for an intimate Motherhood Session at the Creative Chateau in Houston, Tx. The morning was spent embracing the connection between Momma and her baby and using our time to slow down the busyness of everyday life for memories that would last a lifetime. 

Kristen is the owner of Glow and Grace Artistry, an exclusive team of artists that provides top-notch hair and makeup artistry services for brides and clients across Texas and destinations worldwide.

As a momma and entrepreneur Kristen wanted a space to never forget these fleeting moments and details of her youngest daughter’s precious childhood. As we all know each of our babies have a special story on their lives and are a gift to us in a way that only the Lord knew we needed. Monroe is no different.

This session allowed space to make time stand still and capture the relationship Kristen has sewed into with Monroe behind closed doors. The day in day out juggle of being a momma is not for the faint, and our session was simply an extension of the unseen moments they have together when know one is around.Cuddles, twirling, and a mean game of rock paper scissors made for the most precious memories. They laughed, they explored, and I sat back and captured the moments as they settled into being the only two people in their little world. 

We allowed space for the wide eyed, adventurous spirit an eighteen month old can bring and simply leaned into it. The morning was filled with peaceful curiosity, and momma was there for every part of it! 

Being able to photograph the way Monroe jumped right into her momma’s arms and the way Kristen gazed at Monroe as they played was such an invaluable thing to be a part of. It makes me so happy being able to deliver these captured moments to my Mommas. I picture them being hung on their walls and remember the beauty of their lives on the days that seem so mundane. It was really a treasure being able to be a part of such a powerful bond for this momma and her sweet girl.
